Malala – Cultural Tourism Showcase
Cultural tourism in Indonesia, especially the Minangkabau heritage, often lacks modern digital platforms to showcase attractions, traditions, and cultural values. Many websites are outdated or not user-friendly, making it harder for visitors to explore information effectively. The goal of Malala is to create a responsive and modern web application that highlights Minangkabau culture and tourism.
01 / Process
How the work unfolded
The project was built using React.js and Tailwind CSS as the main technologies. It was also an opportunity to practice and strengthen frontend development skills, particularly in React components, state management, responsive design, and styling with Tailwind.
The process included:
- UI/UX Design: Creating a clean, well-structured interface with attention to readability and aesthetics.
- Frontend Development: Implementing React.js components, responsive layouts, and Tailwind utility classes.
- Enhancements: Adding dark mode support for better user experience.
- Testing & Iteration: Ensuring responsiveness across devices and refining the UI based on feedback.
My role in this project was as a UI/UX designer and frontend developer, responsible for building the interface, implementing responsiveness, and integrating design with functionality.
